Waiting for fall

I'm wearing a skirt and blouse by Asos, Miu Miu shoes, and some simple chains as a necklace.

Some of you probably know by now that if there's one thing I love, it's a longer-than-knee-length skirt with super high heels. I'm afraid of being a one trick pony though, and I don't want to always go the safe route, so I thought I'd try to make one of my beloved midi skirts work with flats.

This blouse is the first one with buttons to fit this well on me - normally if something fits like this on the shoulders and waist, it's several inches too small around the bust. Yes, half an inch of fabric would have been nice for ~the girls, but I'm still surprised!

I'll be back in September (you wouldn't believe how glad I am to finally be able to say this), hope you're all enjoying the last days of August :)

PS: aren't the little pointy metal caps on the shoes adorable? So glad I got these flats!

  1. I really love the criss-cross pattern on the skirt, reminds me of the awesome pants you have too. I like how the chains work with the flats (and yes, I love the shiny metallic points of them as well :) ). I envy how the mid-calf length flatters your figure, it looks really bad on me.

BTW, do you watch the US Project Runway? I remembered the, oh 5th or 6th episode of the current season when I read "one trick pony", XD. (I didn't know the expression before).

And thank you for the reply about shoes, I think I'll take a look at shops that offer free returns then!

  2. Thank you for all your sweet comments Vita, not just this one, all of them. I always smile when I see your name in my inbox^^

I haven't seen any of the Project Runway shows, but it's definitely on my list!

Hope you find some lovely and well fitting shoes :D

  4. I love this skirt! It's so vibrant and fun. It looks great with the shirt, and it's such a good fit on you.

I always have the same problem with gaping shirts because of my shoulders and chest. Nightmare! Especially as a shirt was part of my work uniform for ten years... I'll tell you that story when I reply to your email.

I really love you in ballet pumps! You can pull them off just as well as you do all your beautiful heels! This pair is really cute :)

  5. Your skirt is very beautiful, and so are you! I'm forever jealous of your porcelain complexion and those blushing cheeks! I hope I don't sound like a creep. :P

Sometimes we gotta get out of our own comfort zones - and sometimes, we'll become pleasantly surprised by the result.

Time flies. I can't believe it's September already.
